Mr Taylor is an accredited Advanced Driving Examiner for the Institute of Advanced Motorists [IAM] covering the geographical area of Newcastle upon Tyne and Sunderland.

This is a role he has held since 2001.  Mr Taylor conducts advanced driving assessments with individuals seeking member status on behalf of the IAM.  

Mr Taylor has been instructed to carry out an overall assessment of the driving abilities and knowledge with members of the public and other Public / Professional bodies. At the conclusion of an Assessment Mr Taylor can provide a written critique with opinion in a format suitable for submission in Civil or Criminal proceedings

An assessment is often useful when an allegation of bad driving or poor knowledge of driving methods / Highway Code is alleged.

Mr Taylor is currently working with a Local Authority carrying out independent assessments of Taxi Drivers subject to proceedings under the provisions of the Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1976.

Mr Taylor is an experienced instructor in driver related issues. He has developed bespoke driver training packages for large corporate companies based globally and in countries where driving conditions are difficult not to mention hazardous. He has experience of delivering these courses for a large oil company  based in Algeria, as an example.

Mr Taylor’s course can be tailored to suit the requirements of the companies business requirements and will enhance the driving abilities of employees whether they be home nation or local native employees. Some of the basic techniques can also assistance in vehicle preservation and maintain, thus cutting maintenance costs.

Mr Taylor can deliver  topics such as:

• Driver road awareness
• Cross country/rough terrain driving
• Basic vehicle maintenance and pre and post move vehicle preparation.
• Basic self-recovery techniques

As well as the driver related services, Mr Taylor’s associates, who are Ex- Military and have experience of the Middle-East Balkans’s and other hostile environments can provide bespoke training to employees, to help them deal with hostile situations. These skills can compliment driver capabilities with course such as:

• Basic First Aid training
• Basic radio procedure
• Hostile environment training
